Yogurt Pear Bars
Chunks of juicy pear are folded into a yogurt custard that is baked atop a shortbread base. The caramelization and reduction that occur produce a thick pudding heavenly in flavor (seemingly akin to fruit liqueur and sweetened condensed milk, though neither is an ingredient!) that melts and grow onto your palate ever so gradually. Forget ambrosia!


Cream of Pumpkin Soup with Cilantro Corn Relish
Mashed pumpkin is puréed with herbs and caramelized onions, heated through with a mixture of broth, milk, and cream, and served with a relish of charred corn, red onions, and cilantro. The bright colors, simplicity, and elegance of this soup make it an ideal starter for a dinner party. Alternatively, dig into its velvety thickness satisfying as an entrée with quesadilla wedges!
Serving Suggestions: As home meal entrée, accompanied by spinach-cilantro quesadilla wedges.
